The critical location of the air flow
passage is identified and cut into
the briarwood bowl outline with
surgical attention to detail. The
conection point for the acrylic
mouthpiece is also sized at this
time to insure a proper fit
The acrylic mouthpiece for the
pipe is inspected for quality and
is then fitted with a Conex system
which accomodates use of the
appropriate size Dr. Perl activated
charcoal filter
The rough pipe bowl and acrylic
mouthpiece are joined together
to insure a tight fit. The point of
connection is then sanded to
insure a seamless joint is
created. This precision work will
be repeated until a "silken" touch
is achieved for the connection.
