VAUEN quality briarwood

assemblies are marked at
this stage to denote intended
distribution areas. Tobacco
pipes marked with a "white"
dot are destined for sale and
distribution in Germany only.
A "gray" dot denotes export
from Germany.
Careful and painstaking effort
is undertaken to hand stain
each briarwood bowl assembly.
As an integral part of this process,
VAUEN employs a special
technique and materials which
are specially designed to enhance
the natural wood grain appearance
unique to each individual tobacco
pipe being manufactured.
Once the briarwood bowl has been
successfully stained to the standards
required by VAUEN, the bowl and
acrylic mouthpiece assembly are then
polished numerous times with a
special, high performance wax. This
coating is specifically designed
to enhance the beauty of the pipe and
protect it's natural wood finish
through many years of anticipated use.
